A Loser’s Mentality Rules America
It’s time to ignore Sideshow Don. Can you do it?
America. You’re losers.
This has been apparent to people outside your borders for a long time. You have been slow to come around to realizing the truth of the statement.
You did it to your damn selves.
You elected Donald Trump in 2016 and lost whatever moral high ground your nation still claimed to own. He was allowed to take over your media coverage and you lost the ability to be objective. He transformed the Grand Old Party into a group of gutless sycophantic yesmen for bully tactics, white supremacy and authoritarianism. You allowed the desecration of your most sacred democratic principles so that you could have a big tax cut, soaring debt, and a couple more conservative Supreme Court judges.
As a result, you’ve lost your vaunted status as the world’s only superpower. You’ve lost the respect of your allies. Adversaries around the world have lost their fear of you, and you’ve lost your ability to intimidate others into servile compliance on the international stage.
America. You’re losers.
