On Thursday, you published “analysis” by Luke McGee about a bombshell that went off within the British royal family just after the start of the new year.
Despite filing over 1,000 words in his article, McGee somehow managed to completely miss the lede.
It’s getting hard out here for a biracial royal. Seems Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex and her husband, Prince Harry, are no longer keen to be willfully pimped by the monarchy in pursuit of its interests. Instead, they announced that they’ve effectively resigned from their lead roles out of a wish to retreat from the public eye, as much as that is possible, and melt into the background of royal life. How that will work in practice is yet to be determined, particularly since reports claim the Queen was not consulted before her grandson and his wife made their plans known.
