How many times have you had someone in your life — a friend, a co-worker, a family member, a neighbour — tell you that this year’s election is the most important one in our lifetimes?
This time, no matter your political leanings, such hyperbole actually feels real.
Trump supporters are encouraging their friends to get to the polls in overwhelming numbers. The pollsters are undercounting our support and they are in for a rude surprise once the ballots are counted, they say. Biden is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, goes the screed. Conservatives are shouting from the rooftops that radical socialists are threatening to seize control of the federal government. Once the Democrats take control of the White House, Senate and House of Representatives, the nanny state will grow to such a size and influence that the freedoms Americans know and love so well will be under mortal threat.
The only way to make sure it doesn’t happen is to vote Republican, return Trump for four more years, and retain the Senate in the process. The barbarian marauders must be halted at the gates.
